Homework this week is to upskill my sentences about the animals. Try and add adjectives to my nouns, and adverbs to my verbs to make my sentences much more interesting to read! Children also have individual spellings and TT Rockstars. Feel free to just play jamming on TTR, as the homework set has division and we haven't yet covered this. Jamming is set to particular times tables and children can just access multiplication.

This week for homework we have some big cat writing to complete, spellings and TT Rockstars. The phonics/SPaG booklets are in wallets too. I am looking forward to reading your big cat facts!

Homework this week is maths. The year 1 children have to find the representations of numbers 11-20 and the year 2 children have some work on 3D shapes and their vertices. There are also spellings set and TT Rockstars. Phonics/SPaG booklets are in homework folders too, and although these are not compulsory they are really beneficial to complete! Our class assembly is on Thursday and lines have been sent home to learn, but these can be practised over the week and each child has short lines

Homework for the Christmas holidays is English (writing different types of sentences about Christmas), spellings, TT Rockstars and the phonics/SPaG booklet. New homework will go out on Friday 13th January 2023.

Good afternoon! Homework this week is spellings, TT Rockstars and to practise your lines our Christmas show. Not everyone has lines to learn, however, everyone has a song and actions on stage, so please practise this if possible I have posted the link to the songs on dojo, but if you have any trouble finding this or you are unsure of what song to practise, just message me on dojo.

Homework for this week is maths, TT Rockstars and spellings. Year 1 have some subtraction calculations using a number line and Year 2 have some column addition with exchanging. I am really noticing the children's fantastic spelling coming through in their writing so well done for practising your focus 5 each week and keep it up Doves!

This week homework is to write some sentences about Samuel Pepys. We have learnt lots about him over the last couple of weeks but here are some questions to help you:

What was his maid's name?

What was his job?
What did he bury in this garden? Why?

This weeks homework is maths, TT Rockstars and individual spellings. Year 1 have taking away/crossing off as their homework and Year 2 have 10 more/ 10 less. This ties in well with maths week next week and we would love to welcome you into our class for some maths games and learning at 2:30pm on Thursday 10th November

Homework for this week is maths, TT Rockstars and spellings Next week we have our Black History Month assembly and each class will be performing a 5 minute presentation based on a black role model. In our class we will be focusing on Stormzy! Some children have words that they will bring home to read and other children will be holding work up and vocabulary (no swear words!). If the children read their words at home it can all go towards their record to get to bronze/silver etc for the end of term.

Hello! Homework for this week is to write some adjectives to describe the nouns. Adjectives are describing words and the nouns are autumnal objects. I have also put at the end of the sheet that if you are out and about this weekend or on an autumnal walk take some pictures and to show us next week of what you may have found! Spellings have also been set and TT Rockstars. I have put it down to 5 minutes each week as I know the timer is annoying at this point in the year and the children are eager to get onto jamming!

This week homework is maths and spellings. TT Rockstars has also been launched and children need to complete 10 minutes of a 'garage' game before 'jamming' is unlocked and children can practise independently. Just the 10 times table is set for now, so that children can get used to this, but I'm sure after a week they will be better at it than us! If you have any questions please see me on the door!

This week is a phonics sheet to complete and spellings. Each child also has a phonics mini book in their homework wallets and although this isn't compulsory it would be beneficial to read them as they focus on the phonics sound or spelling rule we have learnt that week. Thank you!

Homework this week is maths and spellings. Year 1 children have a adding one more than a given number worksheet. They will need a glue stick, but feel free to use a school one if you need to! Year 2 have a partitioning number worksheet so: 72- 70 (tens) 2 (ones). Thank you for all of your support with homework last week!
Friday 9th September 2022
This week our homework is English and spellings. In our English lessons the children have been writing sentences using conjunctions to extend their work. For their homework the children need to choose their favourite woodland animal and then write some sentences about it In the homework wallets there are some writing mats and phonics mats to help them.
Children also have some extra reading booklets they can read which coincide with the phonics/SPaG learning the children will be doing each week. Homework is due by next Friday morning!
