Dove Class ~ Spring Term 1 - 2020

 

This half term, our topic is 'Dinosaurs',  

 

English

We will develop our descriptive writing. We will be writing non-chronological reports about dinosaurs and we will also be exploring poetry.

 

Maths

We will be learning about place value to 50 and 100, multiplication and division and exploring statistics. We will also be investigating measure of height and weight.

 

Science

We will be exploring living things and will be naming and identifying a range of different animals, recognising how they are structured differently. We will be learning about different habitats and how animals adapt to live in different habitats.

 

P.E

In P.E, we will be developing skills in gymnastics and dance. We will also talk about healthy diets and lifestyles.

 

History

We will be learning about Mary Anning, who she was and why she is an important person within history.

 

Art

We will explore how to create different patterns and textures using different mediums and we will link this to different animal skins.
