Late/Absence Procedures

If your child is unable to attend school for any reason please telephone or e-mail the school office before 9.00am to let us know. If we have not had contact with a parent by 11.00am we may conduct a house visit to ensure the family is safe. 

If your child, or a member of your household, has symptoms of Covid-19 your child should not attend school. 

• If your child has sickness or diarrhoea we ask that he/she does not return to school for 48 hours from the last occurrence as this type of illness can be very infectious. 

• Please use the link below to the NHS website which lists common issues in children and guidance on whether these conditions should prevent children attending school. 

Should your child's attendance drop below 90% you may receive a formal letter advising you of this. This letter is part of a process of tracking attendance school wide across the county. Should attendance not improve this may result in a fine.
