Autumn 1: The Enchanted Woodland

Below is our curriculum map which details all that the year one children will be learning in autumn 1 term. Our topic is 'The Enchanted Woodland' and we will be using the books including the Gruffalo, Percy the Park Keeper and The Bog Baby. It's a lovely topic as there's lots of opportunities for learning outside in both geography and Science so please bring in a pair of wellies that can be kept at school.

Autumn 1- Early Years

This term is an exciting time for the early years children as they start their schooling journey. We will spending lots of time getting to know the children and completing a baseline assessment of what age/stage they are working at. Whilst the early years children will have joint PE, outdoor learning lessons they will join in with some topic work but we will also follow their interests and create challenges about things they are interesting in such as Paw Patrol, Zog or Cars.
