School Council 2024

The London Mini- Marathon for schools

Thursday 30th September, Friday 1st October and Monday 4th October 2021

The school council organised this years London Mini-Marathon for schools. The whole school took part in 2.6 miles of running, walking, hopping, skipping or dancing. Everyone put so much effort into this and it was great to see the children with their running numbers on! The school council had asked if we could participate as a school and raise money for Great Ormond Street Children's hospital and how could we say no!

I am very proud to say that as a school we have raised £184.24 which is just amazing!

Today in our meeting we were privileged to be asked to judge the 'Friends of East Hanningfield' pet competition. It was really difficult as all the pets were wonderful but we chose the winners working as a team and listened to everyones opinions and reasons. Well done to all of the winners and a big thank you to Friends for trusting us with this task!

FOOTBALL'S COMING HOME! Today we had a super school council event that raised over £170 for new football nets on our playground/field. Children were invited to wear a football top or any sports top for a donation of 50p. A big thank you to Buddy's dads business, EB Contractors Ltd, who made a big donation to the school councils funds. Well done to our school council for planning and organising
