Collective Worship

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and enter his gates with praise!  Give thanks to him and bless his name!”  Psalms 100:4

Our school's Collective Worship is a daily, joyful, and sacred experience, a beacon of light that illuminates our community. We gather to give thanks, celebrate God's presence, and receive wisdom and inspiration, guided by the teachings of Christ. This act of worship, led by teachers and local church visitors, is not just a moment in our day; it's a thread woven through the lives of our children and staff, a testament to our faith.

In line with Matthew 5:16, "Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven," our Collective Worship aims to:

  • Develop a strong sense of connection and belonging within our school family, shining together in unity and faith as we place our hope in the Lord.
  • Engage in personal reflection, self-awareness, and spiritual growth, allowing for transformational change that empowers us, strengthened by God's love, so that our lives reflect his glory.
  • Seek inspiration and wisdom to live life in its fullness, as promised in John 10:10, embracing the abundant life God offers to those who trust in Him, and thus, let our light shine.
  • Appreciate and celebrate the beauty and mystery of creation, recognising that all human achievement, within and beyond our school, is a gift from God, whose handiwork we see in the world around us, and to reflect that light in our own actions.
  • Nourish and deepen the faith of believers, uplifting each other as we renew our strength in the Lord’s presence, allowing our collective light to grow brighter.
  • Reflect on how scripture offers comfort, encouragement, and inspiration, illustrating God’s love, faithfulness, and the transformative power of faith that enables us to be a reflection of his light.
  • Actively engage through reflection, prayer, and songs of praise, lifting our spirits and hearts in worship, trusting that in His strength, we will rise, so that our collective light can be seen.

This approach creates a space for all to grow spiritually, building a community where everyone can thrive in faith and understanding, letting our collective light shine for all to see.
